Acupressure Points Facial Glow :- Since years Acupressure has been a very effective modality of treatment categorized under alternate therapies. Many of us know that acupressure has the treatment for relieving pain in our body, let it be back pain or cervical or knee pain etc. acupressure is a very constructive way of cure. But, most of us are unaware of the fact that we can also get facial glow through acupressure points.
Nowadays, dullness of face is not only the problem with females but also for the males. The main reason for the dullness is improper blood circulation and lack of oxygen in the blood. Due to the hectic schedule in this busy world, we don’t have enough time for ourselves. Unscheduled diet and unbalanced diet also have the equal contribution for the dull appearance of our face. Also, many of us assume that dullness in the face with aging is obvious. However, it is not so. Acupressure is helpful in the hiding these aging signs and prevents wrinkles.
But, Acupressure has the solution for this also. Just a few minutes and you can get your glow on face back. According to Acupressure modality, the region in the upper joint of our thumb of both the hands and feet are considered as our head. And, the front portion is treated as the face. By applying pressure on that region or regular massage of that area helps in enhancing the blood circulation. Upon adapting this on a regular basis, the facial glow comes back.
ACUPRESSURE POINTS FACIAL GLOW
Spleen 6 (Sp6)
The spleen is a small organ with multiple functionalities. It plays an important role in the process of digestion. This makes the skin healthy as undigested food affects our skin adversely by making it look dull. Also, healthy spleen makes our skin healthy.
Sp6 is located on the inner side of the legs just above the ankles as shown in the image above. This point is linked to the spleen and applying pressure on this point helps in glowing skin.
Location of Sp6:
Find the highest peak of the ankle.
Place four fingers above the ankle.
Applying pressure and massaging this point for 10-15 seconds will serve you the purpose of dull skin.
Large Intestine 11 (Li11)
Large Intestine 11 is named as ‘Pool at the Bend’ in English. The glow of skin vanishes due to the excessive heat in the body. This point is helpful in dumping heat in the body and reducing stress. Large Intestine is also helpful in reducing heat in the blood which in turn brings the glow to the face.
Li11 is located at the lateral side of the elbow.
Fold the forearm towards the neck.
Li11 is located at the end of the crease line at the elbow.
Apply pressure firmly at this point using your fingers for 10-15 seconds and massage this point. Regular stimulation of this point helps in removing excessive heat.
Stomach 36 (St36)
All the dullness on a face is an indication of abnormal stomach activities. Hence, it is necessary to stimulate the stomach points for getting a glowing facial skin.
St36 is located below the knee cup as shown in the above image. It is helpful in treating stomach abnormalities, gastrointestinal disorders, and the digestive disturbances.
Stretch your legs.
Place four fingers below the knee cup.
You will find a muscle twitching when your leg is folded and stretched.
Apply pressure and gentle massage on this point for 10-15 seconds will help to get the glow on the face.
Gall Bladder 14 (GB14)
GB14 helps in relieving stress. As stress is one of the reasons for the dull appearance of the face, it needs to be removed. Also, it helps to remove pain in eyes or a headache. Staying healthy is a very important factor to look glowing. Position of the point is shown below:
Locate the centre of the eyebrows.
Place one finger above the eyebrow.
GB14 is just above that one finger.
This point on the face helps in enhancing the blood flow in the face and looks reddish and makes you appear beautiful. A firm pressure on this point will activate the third eye chakra. Hence, it is recommended to pressurize and massage the point gently on a regular basis for 10-15 seconds.
Governing Vessel 24. 5 (GV24. 5)
GV24.5, located on the midline at the junction of the hairline, governs our body and mind. This is the point of the pituitary gland. Pressurizing this point will make the proper functioning of the pituitary gland and make the flawless skin.
Locate the centre of the eyebrows where the bridge of the nose meets at the centre of the forehead.
Stimulating this point and applying pressure gently over this point will enhance the blood flow and make the facial skin glow.
Stomach 4 (St4)
St4, named as Earth Granary, is the beauty point of the face. It is helpful in treating dry mouth which makes the face appear dull.
Locate the pupil and go vertically downwards.
The point is located at the intersection of the mouth line and downwards line of a pupil on the cheeks.
This point enhances the blood circulation of the cheeks making them appears glowing and reddish. Place your finger at this point and pressurize it for 1-2 minutes in order to activate the point.
Large Intestine 20 (Li 20)
Li20 is located beside the nostrils on both sides of the cheeks. In English, this point is named as ‘Welcome Fragrance’ . This point helps in removing excessive heat from the body. Loss of heat brings a glow to the face.
Locate the mid-point lateral to the border of the nostrils.
On applying, pressure to this point for 1-2 minutes removes blockages and dumps the heat which in turn brings the glow on the face.
Remember that acupressure points are bi-lateral. Hence, points are pressurized on both legs, hands and both sides of the face if not the centre. The above-mentioned points help in smoothening the facial wrinkles and enhance your beauty.
